Ingredients
  

For the patties

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

For the bake

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  • Form the mixture into patties and place them into a greased baking dish.
  • Pour the beef broth over the patties, then add the mixed vegetables on top.
  • Spread the prepared mashed potatoes over the top of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the mashed potatoes.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and everything is heated evenly.
  • Serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to switch up the cheese and vegetables based on your preference. This dish can be assembled and stored in the fridge a day in advance, and it also freezes well for leftovers.
