Ingredients

  • 4 Sablefish (black cod) filets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin (sweet Japanese rice wine)
  • 2.25 tablespoons Sake (Japanese rice wine)
  • 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of miso paste (white or yellow)
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Fresh ginger 1 tablespoon grated
  • 2 chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Execution

1-Make the Marinade Make the marinade: In the bowl, mix together mirin, soy sauce sake, brown sugar sesame oil, miso paste along with ginger, garlic, and until sugar and miso are completely dissolving.

2-marinate the Sablefish The sablefish pieces in an shallow dish, then drizzle the marinade over the fillets. Check that every fillet has been coated well. Refrigerate and cover for a minimum of 30 minutes or two hours for more taste.

3-Preparation and Preheat Prepare your oven to 400degrees F (200degC). Cover a baking tray with parchment paper, or lightly grease it so that you can avoid sticking.
