Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Execution

1- Mix Dry Ingredients : In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

2-Combine Wet Ingredients  : In a separate bowl, whisk the water, egg, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract (if using).

3-Blend Together : Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should have a few lumps for fluffier pancakes.

4-Cook the Pancakes: Heat a lightly greased griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat. Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot surface for each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook until the other side is golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).

5-Serve  : Stack the pancakes on a plate, and add your favorite toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruit, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
