Pear and Cranberry Crisp – A Warm and Tart Winter Dessert
Pear and Cranberry Crisp is a warming and tart dessert ideal for winter. The tart and sweet pears as well as the sweet Cranberries are topped off with a scrumptious oat Streusel, which makes it delicious and comforting.
Ingredients
- For the Filling:
- 4 ripe pears cut and peeled
- 1 cup of fresh or frozen Cranberries
- 1/4 cup of sugar granulated
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup of rolled oatmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup butter that is unsalted, melting
- 1/4 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
Execution
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degF (175degC). Grease a baking dish 8×8 inches.
A large mixing bowl mix the chopped pears, cranberries and pears with flour, sugar granulated, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients to coat in a uniform manner, and then transfer it onto the baking dish that you prepared.
In separate bowls Mix the oats, brown sugar, flour melting butter, nutmeg, and to make the topping of streusel.
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mix.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes to ensure that the topping has a caramelized and bubbling.
Serve warm with the scoop of vanilla ice cream or a spoonful of cream whipped.
