Ingredients
- 1 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, cut and halved.
- Two tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper as desired
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Optional: Crumbled bacon, or toasting nuts to garnish
Execution
The oven should be heated to 400 degF (200degC).
In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts in salt, olive oil, and pepper. Place them in single layers on baking sheets.
Roast for 20 to 25 minutes Shaking the pan half way through until the sprouts become crisp as well as golden.
In a smaller saucepan make sure to warm the balsamic vinegar and honey in a medium-high heat until the mixture has reduced to half and has slightly thickened.
Serve the balsamic glaze on the cooked Brussels sprouts and mix in a coating. Serve with bacon crumbles or toasting nuts if you wish.
